Well, this discussion is hilarious. Do you guys realize that Czechoslovakia is defacto state-construct or lets say some sort of federative state composed of Czech lands and Slovak lands? In fact after the war the form of goverment changed to proper federative state where a Czech republic and Slovak republic together composed a Czechoslovak republic. So the concept of having a Slovakia and Czechoslovakia in the same time on map is nonsense and should be corrected in the game.
That leads to a rather interesting quiestion if a Czechoslovakia as a country tag should be used or exist only if there are both Czech and Slovak country tag under their sovereign goverment (and only democratic one).

why shouldn't pan-slawistic fascists call there state czechoslovakia and claim slovakia if there enemies conquered it? I am aware it's a fedearl state construct. But everey state is a new construct at some point. You can't call both of them existing impossible without making other assumtions about the situation. All we know is that two states use the names. That's not enouth to draw any conclusion.

it's simply not just about geography it's also about northern hansiatic identity. in opposite of the konservative/catholic south. geography is a factor it's just not everting and people will always be pragmatic about it.

This is mostly true. I´d just point out that the "federative" Czechoslovakia was still pretty centralised and that Prague held too much of the power (which of course didn´t make Slovaks particularly happy). But it definitely WAS a construct. There was a Czech nation and a Slovak nation. Together, they made a Czechoslovak nation, so they would have majority over Germans in Czechoslovakia (there were 3 millions of them in Czechoslovakia when it formed). There was even a subject in schools called Czechoslovakian language - utter bs. To the original hilarious discussion: if they have claims for each other, I am fine with that. But it would feel silly to me to have these 2 countries named that way and not claim each other (even the other way around - with Slovakia being called Czechoslovakia and Czech lands being called Czech Republic or whatever).

To be precise, Czechoslovakia was divided into four lands Bohemia, Moravia-Silesia, Slovakia and Carpathian Ruthenia. It implies that Czechoslovakia should have claims to all these regions. On the other hand:

• Czechia (which is english translation of geografical area "Česko". Today it corresponds to The Czech Republic and historicaly it is Czech part of the Austrian Empire) does not have claims on Slovakia and Carpathian Ruthenia.
• Slovakia does not have claims on Czechia (Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia) and Carpathian Ruthenia.

Theoreticaly it should be posibility to release Czech lands (exactly the lands of the Bohemian Crown), which have claims on Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia (complete, not just "Czech/Austrian Silesia), Upper and Lower Lusatia
