All this talk about this or that country getting short-changed by Paradox... People would be better off asking for high degree of mod-ability in the game. Paradox have said the game is very modable, but we haven't heard much about how. All these complaints would go away I think if we knew we could redraw the map (and make other changes) to our hearts content.
I for one would like to see detailed matrices determining how various cultures/religions interact with each other (for example, the degree of revolt risk and income penalty when a country with one culture/religion owns a province with another culture/religion), rather than the boolean one-size-fits-all system in EU2.
I'd also love to see a very robust AI that can be tweaked to do just what a scenario editor wants the country to do. I'd like to be able to tell a country to be extremely peaceful and avoid any expansion, or to expand only via diplomacy, to not send traders ever, to aggressively pursue core provinces, and so on. One of my joys in games that allow it is tweaking the AI. The AI files in EU2 were decent as far as colonization, but it only had a very mild effect on behavior. All AI countries more or less acted the same, given a similar position (in strength or geographic location).
I have faith that Paradox wants to make the best game they can. They probably have a game reason (balance, fun, whatever) in mind when they allocate provinces and cultures and whatnot. These petitions are kind of silly.
Ask for the ability to change things easily and if they do that then everyone will be happy.
