I'd say in fact that the text's only merit is fitting in with today's ideas about nations and nationalism.

And the contemporary world is clearly in the wrong, so that settles that.

I agree with Orinsul, this doesn't make gameplay or historical sense.

Even if China or Switzerland did suddenly conquer all of Asia or Europe, no German or Japanese person is suddenly going to say "Hmmm....i might turn into a 'federal citizen'" or whatever. national identities are pretty much set in stone for people, and a 'unifying culture' just wouldn't materialize.

In WW2 Japanese often said "We Asian...." to Chinese and Koreans and hope united other Asian nations to fight Westerners. There are few other Asian nations people to suggest but still exist. But in Vic we can't never build a "Great Asia" by Japanes or Vietnamese. :wacko:

Which is fairly accurate (the fact Ricky didn't allow Greater Asia). For one, the Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere wasn't a single nation. It was a group of Japanese puppet states in the conquered territories. Why? Because as stated many times before, it's simply unrealistic to expect other nationilities to accept this new 'Asian' nationality over their previous one.

Also, in this Japanese empire, equal citizenship was not given to the other Asians, in fact, they were almost treated like slaves in parts of China, so this point of evidence really doesn't mean anything.
