custom empires sync

dun know whether this is the right place to ask, if not, please help point me to the right forum
recently bought a new laptop, but even when i have cloud save turned on in-game for both my old and new computer, my custom created empires don't seem to sync on my new laptop... so do i have to remake them all again? have created quite alot of custom empires over these yrs, would be a real hassle to do it all over again... ;;;

They aren't synced, just stored locally in:
Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\user_empire_designs.txt

You'll have to copy the file over yourself if you want to have your empires on the other machine.

Not quite on topic, but it's also a good idea in general to save a local backup of the file somewhere if you have a lot of empires that you don't want to lose.
