Hi all, I've started working on a mod in which I have defined a custom culture, however for some reason that I cannot fathom, the placenames that I have inputted for this culture do not show up on the map when controlled by an individual of that culture, even though the culture itself has been successfully implemented. I've scoured my files and cannot for the life of me understand why this is the case. If anyone has any idea why this is I'd be really grateful if they could let me know. I've attached my mod file in case it is of use to anyone and for reference, the custom culture is named 'priteinig'. Thanks v much!

The actual provinces need to have the name they'd be in the new culture listed, see c_osterreich in the landed titles file you posted.
Sorry, I meant to say I'm only modding the place names of Britain. I've done that but for some reason it doesn't work.
Cultural title names depend on the top liege's culture, which might prevent your culture's title names from showing up.
Yeah that was my first thought but having tested that in game, that doesn’t seem to be the case as even under an independent kingdom of my custom culture the names don’t change
Your landed_titles.txt is encoded in UTF-8, which CK2 doesn't handle well. It should be saved in ANSI, Win-1252.

Actually sorry, turns out I hadn't done it properly! It works now but only in England. Wales and Scotland remain unaffected. Also, the Duchy of Hereford has now become the Duchy of 0 for some reason. I can't see anything in my landed titles file that would cause this so I'm feeling rather lost. I've changed the landed_titles file a bit so I'll attach that for reference in case anyone wants to take a look.
Look at line 560. There's still some corrupted text from the wrong file encoding. If there is a lot of it throughout the entire file, you may want to start from scratch and reimplement your changes. It's very cumbersome, but such is modding Paradox games.

Also, as I'm comparing my mod file and the original landed_titles file I'm noticing lines such as this: irish = "Bl‡r Athfhotla" in the vanilla file. Are they corrupted too?

Sorry, I should have checked but it's actually only the counties of Powys, Shrewsbury and Hereford as well as the Duchy of Hereford that's affected
