CUSTODIANS or DLC Dev's: - Please can we get control of sectors again? pretty please? the only mod that did that (Imperial Routine) is no longer functional.

I will pay for a full priced DLC that JUST allowed me to fine control what was in a sector or not, maybe a hard-cap of how many systems in a sector based on a variable, like tech, or overall sector sprawl maybe? I would also love to be able to be able to make any colony a sector no matter where it is and do things to it, like say vassalise, or give away, and then redo my sector around that change.

It doesn't need to be fancy, it doesn't need to have AI management, it doesn't need to be anything more than a system toggle (like how claims works). I just want to be able to make any system its own sector and add to it, simples! maybe even add a setting that does away with sectors for those who dont want them, but there is a million mods for that already.

I said in a few other threads, I think their next DLC should focus on a sci-fi feudal empire trope, since this is the current pop-culture sci-fi trend (Dune, Foundation)... They should jump on that train while they can, the popularity of Dune will sell it for them.

So the next DLC should be a vast insterstellar feudal empire, with LOTS to do internally and with vassals.

My personal suggestion is to use the Federation and Galactic Community systems and apply it to internal decentralized governance and sector/vassal interactions.

I really want them to take a look at sector automation too. The current AI improvements are separate as far as I'm aware, and planetary automation is still clunky with serious flaws. Most notably how automated planets don't take into account what others are buildings, so small deficits can result in tens of worlds building the same thing.

Why cannot I make Ijax part of my Andack Sector? and WHY should it matter one wick about AI management? at its basics I just want to be able to start a sector at ANY planet, and move systems that are next to said other sector. i get the idea of a cap for this, otherwise people will just make one single sector (but thyey are doing this anyway via mods) but maybe some kind of Unity cost the bigger a sector is and maybe a unity bonus for smaller sectors, and Governors also adding to unity linked to level.

This was once a good feature but they reworked it. Back then sectors have been able to build their own colony ships, colonize planets inside their borders as well as build construction ships that would build mining/research stations in their borders.

I really wish we get that back.

Personally, I would like to see pre-determined sectors on map-gen. Controlling every system of a sector would give a small bonus.
Actually this was once in a dev diary, bavk in the early stages of the “galactic geography” conversation… I deeply regret they anandoned it. I think it would have been a great addition to bave pre-determined cohesive clusters… perhaps connected with wormholes and gates and long hyperlanes, and short hyperlanes only locally between the cluster systems… or even allow the good old warp drive on a lical cluster level…

eh, if only

Speaking of sector love.

I'd like sectors to be something you had to manage relations with through the governor. One that had an opinion of you depending on how well developed the sector was and if it's needs were supported. Piss the governor off enough and he could secede or start a civil-war.
