I just propsed myself as a custodian. Nobody else wants me, but i am rich enough to buy it. I used my favours to get it to the top of the list, but when the current session finished, it disappeared from the queue.

Is the council veto enabled and are there any other members of the council?

I think the custodian shares the same proposal timer as all other proposals in the same category, such as changing the council size. If the proposal that passed is one of those all others in the same category would be removed from this list. I don't know for sure that this applies to this particular proposal but I know it happens if you have both the galactic imperium fleet proposal and the encryption proposal and one of them passes. That might be what happened.

It was a change council size vote. Not sure it was a veto. It died the moment it passed. Not sure about the idea behind that. Surely it should not allow the proposal in the first place? Wasted 300 influence. May have to wait for the great Khan
The custodian vote was second in the queue, I think.
The current vote was expand the council to 4. When that vote ended, the custodianship proposal disappeared on the same day.

As someone already mentioned it fizzled out, because another resolution in the same category was passed and the category went on cool down.

Right... I was unaware it did this. Is it just that catagory? I will have to keep a lookout in future.
Probably not happened before as I usually wait until there is a reason to declare a custodian. First time I have started with more than 10 ai... I think there are close to 30 at the moment. Getting resolutions passed has been a nightmare, so I thought I would get Custodian in the queue early on... Bad idea.
I could have spent that 300 influence in claiming me some Necroid territory. Somone has to suffer for this indignity. I am suspecting if the Great Khan or a War in Heaven comes along, my fleet will be having commumication problems.

It's every category, but usually this is not a problem as often all resolutions in a category are in a line and you can only go up or down 1 step and it's not unexpected that down 1 step disappears, when up 1 step is passed.

Its fine adding up in my head when there are 10, but when there are nearly 30 and I have drunk half a bottle of wine, it becomes a minor ballache.
