HELP!!!! Cursor hung - keyboard shortcut to save?

Cruising along and my mouse-cursor just went off in the weeds, and
won't respond...is there a keyboard shortcut I can enter, to avoid having
to fall back to the last save?

No theres not. But if you press f12 it will open the console, and for the future press ctrl+1 to assign a quick key.

If you have USB mouse unplug it and then plug in again. [for BT mouse unplug USB-BT key and plug in it again]

One question: are you using mouse manufacturer driver?

You know all 'high-end' mouses coming with some super-hiper-duper software which monitoring mouse behaviour. Virtually every manufacturer have something like that: Razer, Logitech and so on.

If you do, buy simple mouse (doesnt matter PS/2 or USB) available in every store for few $/Euro/Pounds/whatever ;). Play with it and see if problem still exist. If not then there you go. You have an answer.

In the end if you still want to use 'high-end mouse' just uninstall software for it and install basic mouse driver which comes with Windows. [it wont work with BT or radio mouses which need software shipped with mouse.]

I had similiar problems, long time ago, when I used Razer (but not in Vicky). I bought simple A4 USB optical mouse and no problems since.

And one more thing. Mate, just friendly advice, I dont want to patronize here. Please do not create 2 threads with regard to the same thing in space of 30 minutes. I know you want answer instantly, I understand that completly. But PI Forum activity, very much, depending on time zone, so be patient. :)

Hehe - thanks for the info! Got a kick out of the two-posts thing; one I'd
put in the Vicky forum, and then when I saw the activity here was relatively
low, I put one in the EU forum, where the activity is so much higher..hoping
that if EU has a way to do it, the same thing would exist in Vicky since the
interface is basically the same...but since I admitted the question was really
for Vicky, the silly mod there moved the thread into here, where I'd already
asked the question :p (did the mod even READ the question? Then
someone else answered "just click all around the screen"...well duh, if I could
click, my mouse would be working, eh? :D

I even tried emailing "support@paradoxplaza.com", but got no reply aside
from the auto-generated one...

Well, perhaps your mouse was still working, but the cursor had disappeared. So, in that case clicking all over the screen would've helped.
