Current DLC Pipeline - It all belongs to Mother Russia!

We got 3 minor DLC's that will be released later this week if all goes as planned.


Russian Portraits
Russian Portraits DLC contains new portraits, new clothing and thousands of unique face combinations for male and female characters for Russian, Bulgarian and Alan characters.


Russian Unitpack
Russian Units DLC features unique unit graphics for the Russian, Alan and Bulgarian cultures.


Songs of the Rus
Songs of the Rus DLC contains three new songs, totalling almost 10 minutes, composed by the talented Andreas Waldetoft.
These songs run while playing a Russian, Bulgarian or Alan ruler.

I want to be excited by this, but I just picture the awful Mongol wave, and suddenly, none of these characters or unit sprites are making an appearance post-Golden Horde.

However, maybe it'll give me some incentive to start in Russia and figure out a non-boat abuse way to deal with that problem...

If you're that concerned about the plight of the russians and their faces perhaps you should start as the king of england and constantly marry your daughters to Russians until your royal line looks Russian?... I mean that strategy would work... until the Aztecs arrive! Then they'll just die off completely.

I'm stillllllll waiting for the Mediterranean pack and was hoping it'd be released early as a holiday bonus instead of waiting for the Republic in 2013. So kind of sad.


However, I will still get all three DLCs because I really like flavor packs, esp. portraits. And from the looks of the pictures there, they have some pretty sweet hats.

That's the code in songs.txt for when music plays. Every single track title looks like that with no modifiers. Is the music text file broken or do all songs play all the time (which I believe based on my gameplay experience is how it works).

Alright, I'll forgive Russia's ugly province layout (I don't know whether they're accurate or not, but the borders themselves don't look clean) this time just to try out these DLCs.

1.08 gamersgate version, JQDK... reinstalled from gamersgate about a week ago (after the patch came out).

I have bought and installed all dlcs, when I scroll over "songs of faith" for instance it shows the buy button greyed out and says in little yellow text "you have already bought this dlc". I definitely have the dlc music in my folder...

That's what my music folder looks like... pretty sure it includes all current music dlcs. While we're here... can we get optional FLAC or wav or anything lossless music dlcs please(even if they cost more than lower bitrate music), I've been dieing for this for ages.

I can post my songs.txt file here or PM it or post it in a new thread in tech support if that helps.

My game currently has no weird bugs I know about, shields are all correct, dynasty shields correct, random shields aren't only 3 colours (I'm guessing that was fixed in 1.07 or 1.08) and the game hasn't been modified in any way (concidering that I'm looking at my backup folder I should hope so).

What exactly is it that is changed from regular European Portraits to Russian Portraits? I mean, do Russians really look That much different?

from the pictures there, I see non-standard noses, different hats, a different beard style, and different eyes from the regular western portraits.

Aye. The Music DLCs are either in steam or a general games folder wherever you installed CK2. Paradox/ck2/dlc. Some of these might be the music dlcs.
The ones you linked to are the regular music files without any requirements. The DLCs dont show in this list. They do have cultural requirements.
Nothing for a bug report.

I was so wrong on this. Oh well, at least I get to play a Russian character with style without annoying bald heads. The woman looks awesome, she seem so... determent to take over the world. Harsh and cold. Great DLC.
