So, I am mostly playing Baltics and their portraits seem to be almost 100% straight and mostly blond hair. That is all fair, it seems to be the most common look here.

But, since I got chestnut (brownish) curly hair myself, I want to inject some other culture into my dynasty to get myself a curly heir.
Where should I look for a spouse? Which culture is the most likely to get my character a Jon Snow hair?

Germans have wavy hair IIRC
The new Italian portraits pretty much all have curly hair too
Thanks, will go on my raid-shopping for Italian concubines! :)

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that you cannot "inject" portrait features into a portrait set that doesn't have them. I mean, if curly hair isn't a feature of Baltic portraits then marrying non-Baltic characters with curly hair will not necessarily make Baltic children with curly hair (although it can make non-Baltic children with curly hair).

Well... They sure would be Baltic Romuvas :) even if they looked like an average Italian/German.

Having said that - this kind of feature - having a baby as mix of parent hair style, eye color, face shape, etc - would be rather cool.

Amen to that, CK2 has been in need of "mixed-ethnicity" portraits since forever.
