I haven't played in a while as I was waiting for some bugs that made the game much less enjoyable to be fixed, I don't suppose they have been?

Things like:
Sector slavery and robots used inefficiently (is it so damn hard to keep them in the mines/farms?)

Sector using your resources

AI mass defensive pacts meaning they cant colonise.

Laser/missile weapon balance (is there a way to be competitive with all 3 now?)

General sector incompetence (I'm less hopeful about this, it seems intentional)

If they stole from you, they wont for a while.
IF its the other, real bug, for me it worked again after ALOT of years ( and probably close and reopen the game a few times)

Robots are better. Slaves only when you keep it at main species.

Sector using your resources is fixed

Mass Defensive pact was fixed.-

Laser/Missiles is not fixed. Early game Kinetics are OP.

Sector is a bit better at using special buildings.

If you have the Festival, there is a event where they want to settle.
After they settle, they are supposed to steal resources, vanish and stop communicting for 10 years.
But they stop forever towarsd everyone by bug.

10 years, I heard. But as I said, that part might be bugged. And they might not talk to anyone anymore.

AI mass defensive pacts meaning they cant colonise.

Was that ever a problem? Defense pacts don't stop you from colonizing, why would it stop the AI from doing it.

I suspect you mean that they do mass defense pacts in place of alliances and end up locking themselves into a 'Cold War' state. THAT problem is definetly alleviated since those with defense pacts generally result Federations, which still allows federation vs federation fights.

The only time they do mass defense pacts and nonaggression agreements is when a crisis is going, and when that is over, the old rivalries generally tend to resurface.

Defense pacts cost Influence.
Colonisation cost influence.
The defense pact spam (some reported up to 10-16) did disable thier ability to hire leaders and colonise.
