I prefer to have many different languages, as it makes my job harder.
When I say that I have split Scandinavian up, I mean that I have renamed scandinavian norwiegiean (I was Norway at a model UN, so they get scandinavian), renamed swiss to swedish, renamed dakota to danish and renamed iroquois to icelandic. I've also renamed iberian to spanish and renamed patagonian (don't know where that's from) to portuguese. I'll split up slavonic as soon as I look into the language situation down there.
If a language is considered a different language, it will get a different culture, this removes any arguments whatsover.
