How are we going to do cultures? I think it should be done entirely on the language spoken by the majority in the provence. That way it's quite easy to implement, and avoids any arguement on wether the North and South in the USA have different cultures, or anything like that.

basic language? or do we go into dialects like the differences in how us and uk say color. IT DOES NOT HAVE A U!

anyway, i think maybe it should be the spoken language thingy, for the most part, but then larger countries could exploit this language/culture thing couldn't they?

Something like that. There are alot of american cultures (in the game) that isn't there any more in RL. Anyway, Benjamin Miller or Seraphim will fix it.

Well they arent anything to be against so far. I suggest that we maybe (and I mean maybe) split up the scandinavian culture.

I agree with you about that. Norweagian, Danish and Swedish can be seperate cultures.

What about Iceland? I guess they will get their own culture, if it's enough.

Well they have their own language, but the cultures in scandinavia are very similar, that is my maybe.

So are we all agreed to doing languages? And I would split scandanavian up, as they are considered different languages. That way we won't have any arguments on wether these languages should be merged or anything like that. And we have tons of free cultures to use, so don't worry about running out.

I hereby renounce my claims to the position of mapman as Benjamin Miller is clearly my superior, however i have plenty of free time so if there is ever need for someone to perform the boring task of filling in fortifications and populations then let it fall to me.

The EU culture or USE if you prefere that when it is one nation is it going to contain all cultures in its boders (i.e. cultures of countries that joining EU/USE )

Ive seen culture list so long that it I didnt see all the cultures then Im playing and that worked fine for me

I having serious doubt about changing culture to language.
This make african countries with a majority speaking their former colony nation nations have the same culture. It is like giving USA english culture.

Ok Here is my suggestions on Europe culture (not the east)

Scandinavian (ok we dont speak the smae language, but we understand each other and we do feel some kind of brotherhood even if we hate to admit it) Areas: Sweden, Norway, Denmark and (maybe) Iceland + maybe one finnish province

Finnish Finland
Baltic The baltic countries
German Germany+Austria
Swiss Schweiz
Dutch Netherlands
Should Belgium have french culture and what should we do with Flandern. Remember that we dont have have tons of cultures.
