Which types of culture exist that effects the look of your soldiers? Does the Teutonic culture exists? Is it possible in any way to create the teutonic culture?
You have to be more specific. Do you want it in certain provinces, do you want it for certain characters, do you want it to replace another culture, do you want it for a specific scenario
But yes there is a Teutonic culture tag in the game, if you want f.e. that all provinces with the german culture in 1066 have teutonic culture.
Open the 1066_scenario_provinces.inc file with Wordpad and find and replace 'german' with 'teutonic'
If you want the rulers to have 'teutonic' culture, open the 1066_scenario_characters.inc file and replace 'german' with 'teutonic'
But then you must also ad teutonic names the the 'character_names.ccs' file
Well, no, in this case I had edited the files so that CULTURE_HOSPITALER should display as Khazar and had edited my ruler and his land to have Hospitaler culture. What displayed in both cases was "none."
Maybe the Crusader armies are really Hospitaler or Templar and just display that way.
While you're around though, I was also curious about something else involving cultures: Is there any way to edit the sprites / faces attached to the various cultures. Eg, I have my Nubian modifications for my game but also want to play the Khazars right now. I didn't want to have to recode all the "abghazian" references I used, but the Ugricbaltic culture uses the European faces, which created the wrong effect.
Is there a way to set Ugricbaltic to use the "dark" faces? If you know...
The knightly order tags are special and cannot be reused.
A culture cannot be swapped from dark to light either, all tags are predefined and part of one of the two groups.
Dark are:
abghazian alan cuman mongol muslim persian pecheneg turkish
Light are:
armenian basque bohemian byzantine castillan catalan celtic danish dutch eastern_slavic english finnish frankish georgian german greek hungarian iberian italian lappish latin lettigallish lithuanian norman norwegian polish portuguese prussian scottish russian saxon south_slavic swedish ugric_baltic welsh western_slavic
