Hi cybrxkhan and thanks for your wonderful mod. I just have one suggestion and it's regarding Iranian headgear. The Iranian dukes all were the same thing on their heads, that white turban. It would be interesting with some variety especially since the Persian portraits are my favorites. Also some way to distinguish persians with different religions (sunni, shia, zoroastrian) would be awesome.
I think you may just be getting unlucky in the random selection of headgear; there is other stuff for them to wear.

Unfortunately adding more new headgear would require adding new art, which is really outside of CPR's scope. As for different clothing based on different religions, that's not possible with the current engine other than pagan vs. non-pagan, so the only way to do that would be rather roundabout methods that would definitely not be within CPR's scope.

I have, but I do have interest in making even more specific portrait sets for the major cultures if possible - I.e., have the Pechenegs and Khazars have different portraits, for instance.

Interesting... :happy: Something like Bulgar/Avar set, Khazar set, Pecheneg set, Oghuz/Turkish set, Cuman/Kimak set, Karluk/Uyghur/Kyrghyz Set.

+ Different sets for Magyars and Hungarians and of course a unique set for Alanian characters.

Any plans to reintroduce the Afghan portraits and perhaps making some Rajput/Gujarati portraits? It is a bit weird to have Northern Indians that look like Tamils. I know that you fear that some users might give bug reports not realising that they would need RoI, but perhaps an idea would be to offer a separate compatch for portrait packs using Indian assets?

Nothing at the moment, really. At this point in CPR though most of the "tribal" cultures shouldn't be wearing clothes from any of the "civilized" portrait sets.

Any plans to reintroduce the Afghan portraits and perhaps making some Rajput/Gujarati portraits? It is a bit weird to have Northern Indians that look like Tamils. I know that you fear that some users might give bug reports not realising that they would need RoI, but perhaps an idea would be to offer a separate compatch for portrait packs using Indian assets?

No plans at the moment. It's not too difficult to pull off, though (or at least not much more difficult than what we already have), it's more a matter of how lazy we are in terms of willingness to maintain the stuff for it. We could have a compatch of sorts, sure, but we'll see.

For some reason it does not seem that CPR is installing when I installed HIP.... I have all the required dlc and hit enter when it was time, but when I turned on the game and started a game up....there was no trace of CPR... Any advice would be appreciated....

I believe unlike all the other modules, the default option for CPR is no rather than yes (this is a last ditch trick in the case that the DLC detection fails), so if you just press enter it will be a no. So, if I remember correctly, for CPR, type in "y" and press enter.

You mean the new cultures in the DLC? I'd have to know what cultures exactly.
Well, judging from the beta they finally added in Lombards, Saxons (German cannnot into same culture!), mention in passing of Frisian (which I am going to assume are the proto-dutch considering where they are going to be located), and an actual distinction between Frankish and French now. Also, they're implementing an actual climate system copy/pasta'd from EUIV. You know what that means, there can now be actual events related to the actual weather! :eek:
Perhaps there could be a change in clothing depending on the climate? (I hear winter coats are all the rage these days!)

Still, these new features could still change. We'll just have to wait and see.

Frisians totally should have Saxongfx, by the way. Frisian and Anglo-Saxon language and culture was very similar and stayed in contact for a very long time.

Well, there's also a distinction made between old_frankish (which would be better named franconian) and frankish. Proto-Dutch is not Frisian but should be low_frankish (not sure if this exists), frankish, or old_frankish (likely will be the latter if it's not straight-up dutch in vanilla).
