Can anyone point me to where I can find a list of the different tech trees and the advantages of each?

If you have comed to the right forum and wonders about naval or land tech in EU 1 this is a good site. 
He's in the right games forum. Asked the same question in the EU2 forum, which I answered for him. Not sure on the date stamp, so I don't know which of his questions came first, here or EU2. Anyway, he seemed satisfied with the answer over there, so I think the matter is resolved.
