This highlights the fact that Telugu is misspelled in the game as well... ;)
Interestingly enough I'm also pretty sure that Telugu should be the primary culture of Vijayanagar to start with. But the cultural setup is all messed up anyway as it's not really based on culture at all but rather languages and has added fantasy groupings like Western Aryan on top of that so I suppose it doesn't matter much. ;)

Depends on what dynasty. Between the different dynasties Telugu, Kannada and Tuluva was spoken by the rajas but the court languages seems to have been kannada and Telugu (interestingly enough as the richest part of the empire was without a doubt the tamil country). Telugu would fit the empire better for most of it's existance imho though.
