Does culture have any bearing on the clothes the characters wear? I kinda want to know if the Christanized Arabs/Cumans/Alans/etc. will ever stop conforming to hijab.

No, 'dark' culture characters will always conform th hijab, their religion doesn't matter.

Well, that seems a bit weird. Surely, the Copts and Ethiopian Orthodox Church (along with the various other churches in the Middle East at that time) didn't conform to hijab except as was necessary to function in a Muslim society?

No, it was pretty common even amongst catholic (crudader) females to cover their hair and faces, just like the Muslims.

And furthermore the game doesn't deal with such details, which are unimportant for gameplay.

Well, that's pretty interesting. (And not really entirely surprising) Of course it's unimportant for gameplay, but I just noticed it and thought it was kinda odd.

Much more interesting would be, how do I get "light" Muslims to have round CoAs instead of regular ones?

Perhaps it's tied to the tag of the county? I know at least some Kingdoms have different Muslim and Christian tags (eg., the Kingdom of Egypt), so it's not inconceivable that some counties do too.

I don't think it's possible to give light moslems and christians different shield shapes. They use the same file.

Nick

EDIT:
Light culture folks and Christians use the shieldshapes with tier levels in them. So county.bmp, duchy.bmp, kingdom.bmp, county_mask.bmp, etc.

Turks and dark Moslems have their own shield files (turkish.bmp, and muslim.bmp). I looked for the pagan shield too, but I didn't see it.
