cultural/historical affinity

I've been a silent and occasional observer hear for a while - so be gentle.

I've seen some posts discussing how certain regions almost always join certain countries, but I haven't seen a description of why this happens - what game forces are doing this. Does each region have some cultural affinity rating that encourages it, or is it simply a random chance kind of choice.


Raul the Runt
A gun-toting history-hating action-game-loving Bush-loving American who, for some strange reason (I blame it on my alien abduction) bought the German version. I know I'll hate it because it's in a foreign language and it is not about God's country - AMERICA.

LOL - See, even people who aren't true strategy fanatics will buy the game in the US! More proof that we should get an English-language publisher to sign up for the game!
