CTD when trying to access Religion after loading a save.

PC Version: 2.2 (URWO)
I deleted all the files pertaining to religion. I verified the integrity of the game cache. It still crashes when I press the religion tab after I load a save.
I've tried several different auto-saves and manual saves. All of them have the same problem. It only crashes when I click on the religion tab.
This isn't a problem when starting a new game, but seems to appear after gaining some territory.

** New info: When I click on credits in the main menu, it starts with "Crusader Kings II: Charlemagne." But I don't have the Charlemagne DLC. **

I think I discovered what the *paradox* is... the latest update totally ♥♥♥♥ed up my game.
Please roll back the patch until things are fixed. I can't play like this. Thanks.

This bug was fixed weeks ago in the beta patches. In Steam right-click on CK2 and choose properties. Hit the Beta tab and select 2.2.0.9 from the list there.

I have this same bug.

Could you please tell me whether updating to the beta break save game compatibility?

EDIT: Also, if you expect everyone to update to beta maybe this should be in the FAQ?
EDIT EDIT: Apologies, I see that that the beta update is announced on Steam, which is reasonable. I just normally start without Steam.
