CTD on trying to use Valknet?

I don't know if this is a known problem or not, but I figured it was worth mentioning. On a clean install with 1.04a and the latest beta, I get a CTD when selecting a "room" on Valknet. That is to say, when I click Crusaders in the drop down I immediately CTD and get an error in "ddhelp.exe." Any idea what's going on here?

OK, it only seems to happen with the beta which is why I put it there, apologies if that was the wrong place.

Standardquestion: Are you sure there are no others mods applied and is it correctly installed? If unsure, reinstall and try again. From what I have learned from you problem it seems like something like that.

Yeah, I've reinstalled several times to several different directories. Each time it's fresh install +1.04a + most recent beta. And before we get to it, my video card drivers are updated too.

I'm pretty sure it's part of Direct Draw, actually. Never had any problems with it except in this instance.

THat's correct (and I just uninstalled, reinstalled, and patched to 1.04a without the beta to make sure). It's a problem related to the beta patches specifically, as best I can tell.

Do you guys can open Vnet at all?
Last time I checked it tried to retrieve the channels for some 20+ attempts and then I just went back and went to the internet (play thru IP) screen.

So nobody knows, eh? I was really hoping this'd be fixed under 1.05, but if it's not happening to anyone else i don't like my odds...
