I don't think this is harware related.
You could try asking in the Editing forum and see if they see anything wrong, otherwise I think it is a bug forum issue. Your game has become corupt somehow.

That is not the same error as above.
I believe the virtual calls in this situation usually have something to do with your video or audio drivers, make sure you have the latest version of both.

Ofcourse, just go to the website of the cards manufactorer.
They will have a download section or a support section that you can get the latest driver from.

sorry to sound like an idiot, but how do i find out who the manufacturers are? I am not very bright of the technical side of things

Do this then I can tell you.

Please run a DirectX Diagnostic:
Start menu –Run - then type Dxdiag, then select each tab across the top of the window, and run the tests on each tab. Then select “Save All Information” button in the lower right of the window. This will bring up a dialog box to allow you to select a name for the file where the information will be saved. You can save it right on the desktop as this will make it easy to find. Then copy the contents of that file from the start to the heading that says “DirectX components” then paste what you have copied into a post in this thread.

I've been following this thread a little while,cause suddenly I have got the same problem,it corrupts the autosave files,so when it ctd (and mind you I say when.. it cannot be reloaded by autosave and up to a point neither in oldautosave´.It should be said that I run the 31/10 patch of 1.04b.very annoying,but I sort of guess it is related to 31-10 patch? Needless to say that everything else is turned off when I play.

Have you discussed this in the BUg forum?

Okay your sound card is built in to the mother board and is an Intel AC97
I think but I never have my audio integrated so really no idea how this works, it could be I amreading that wrong, I looked at the intel site and did not see any drivers for sound cards unless it is included in the latest motherboard drivers.
Sound driver is not as important but yours is still 3 years old.
