CTD during autosave

Occasionally I will get a CTD during an autosave attempt. I turned on my autosave after a CTD....but I can't nail that one down...other than to say it was a long time playing before it hit.

I even confirmed that the CTD happenend during autosave when I tried to reload from autosave and got a corrupt file warning. and it worked when i retried using oldautosave.

Two possibilities spring to mind:

1. Corrupt installation - if the autosave always crashed then a reinstall is recommended. Has helped some other people.

2. Corrupt scenario file. There is a known bug in 1881 scenario with duplicate entries for New Foundland. Also some one - off events have been known to cause problems sometimes (Luxembourg Independence for example). Any major events triggered previously or are you playing 1881
