CTD during Australia Holdings Event as Communist China

Hi. I have the latest checksum. I have all DLCs installed. And I play unmodded Ironman regular for achievements.

I get a crash to desktop as Communist China during some Austrialian Holding event.

This happens as I was taking clearing out Siam and British Raj. I have been able to conquer most of China core territory allready.

I have tried 20 times to get past this point by trying to do different random things, but nothing helps.

There are 2 different type of CTDs, the one related to system configuration (hardware/drivers/antivirus) that totally block you from play the game and the one caused by a bug in the game. Your case is probably the latter.

It's been almost 2 months since the carrier air game destroying bug was reported and that has not been fixed, so don't be surprised if all you hear are crickets.

Nothing ironman compatible till next official patch.. if not Ironman, probably there is a workaround for this CTD simply commenting out "Australian Holding" event

So I can continue playing the game soon?

Keep the save for now.

Hi. yeah, we are aware of the issue. but won't be pushing anything public until the next DLC unfortunately.
