I've been doing my first IFU as France (Francia Occid.) Made the modifications mentioned in an earlier post (re. China & Cyprus) which stopped a CTD c. 780.
But I now meet a new consistent crash, at end of May or end of August 923.
I thought it might have something to do with the ascension of Rudolf of Burgundy as King of France in 923. Is there some historical event that is supposed to pop up here which my wars/alliances/vassalizations are screwing up?
My pre-crash situation: Me (France), Italy & Burgundy in alliance and within standard historical borders. Burgundy & Benevento are my vassals. When 923 starts, alliance leader Italy is bent on dragging us into a war with the Papal States (I can't get it to avoid a DoW). My vassal Benevento is allied with Papal States.
I've tried all sorts of variations (e.g. declaring & finishing war first, releasing Burgundy, Benevento, etc.), but no change. My autosave only gives me a few months breather to modify things.
Any ideas?
