Is there a way to creat the CSA from the start of the 36 gc? Always been curious of how the world might have turned out if the South had survived the war between the States.

Event, load a game as the USA, release them, then play as the CSA...

Ok, let me see if I have this striaght. Play as the US, liberate the CSA, save the game, then re-start and select the CSA as the country I want to play. Is this the correct way?

That's one of the ways to do it. Though thinking about it now, you might not be able to do that as the CSA lands are national provs of USA, I think.

If it is possiable to creat the CSA, how many units or leaders would you get? What provinces/states would a player receive?

Sorry, can't resist...

if the South had survived the war between the States.

The South did survive. The Confederacy didn't.

What I did was start a 36 game as USA and change ministers and put it on no Consumer Goods, after a while the partisans took the south, which then Liberated the CSA. After that I loaded up as CSA....They're leaders are horrible(and some of them are the most ugliest people I think I have ever, and will ever, see), and you can't really change ministers...But I'm continuing the game anyways, I just declared war on Mexico to get a port that I can reach Hawaii with(All the partisans also released California). Btw....You start out with a horrible military, mostly militia. You start out with CP(If I remember correctly), Dove Lobby(crikey), and Authoritarian, I believe your facist when you start out too. The tech teams are decent, but not well thought out apparently, because....they kinda suxk really >_<.

Ha ha! Ya'll know what I meant.

You sir, are infinitely cool. :D

Native West Virginian/Virginian here...great-great-grandfather was a captain in the 21st Virginia Calvalry, CSA.

Now...

There's got to be a better way to do this, I mean to go about making the CSA independent and actually capable of doing something. I honestly think Huey Long should be something of a Head of State if the CSA is released (which it can't be in the 1936 GC, dammit to Hell!), thinking of this as some sort of alternative history and totally discounting the fact that Huey Long would soon die -- assassinated.

There might have been Southern-born military leaders (good and decent ones) who would've been sympathetic to the CSA-cause or even have joined it (once again, alternative history).

There's got to be a way to do this as a concerted effort...
