I would hope it would start before the war but after secession of most of the Southern states but it will probably start at war. Its going to be a historical extra scenario and not the Grand campaign so going on past experience we'll probably be getting a scenario that doesn’t allow much changing of history before the war.

As for the flag issue well there should be no trouble with the confederate flag in the game. You can find stuff with the confederate flag on it virtually everywhere in the south. Despite some discontent with the Confederate image its not a taboo like the swastika is. Personally I hope they go with the 3rd national banner.

As Buke knows, few people are offended by the Confederate flag when talking about the actual Confederacy. It's when people imply that they want to be like the Confederacy that tempers start to flare.

In Texas we always use he original Confederate Flag to represent the Confederacy as one of the 'Six Flags over Texas'

And since Texas was the biggest Confederate State we obviously know better so I think this conversation is over
