Anybody got any good ideas for additional tech team for the United States or Confederate States. The only American one that is based in the south Higgins. The only one I have come up with so far is Texas Insturments. There are a few in the game for teh CSA, but they are motly universities. Odd that the United States does not have West Point? This was rushed and I really would like to replace them with companies. Also California has way to many.
Actually, I had been toying with a tongue-in-cheek "Redneck Mod" where the CSA gets tech teams like "Bubba's garage" and units like "Good Ol' Boys in Pickups" (Motorized Infantry)
No offense intended to Southerners - I am one
Seriously, here are a few ideas...
Coca-Cola is based in Atlanta, and might have Industrial Engineering and Management.
Depending on how you define the CSA, if they get Missouri (it was one of the stars on the Confederate flag) than they could get McDonnell aircraft in 1939. Maybe they could get it anyway, since James McDonnell grew up in Arkansaw.
Ingalls Shipbuilding (Pascagoula, Mississippi) opened in 1938.
Charleston Naval Shipyard (Charleston, SC) was around since 1901.
Naval Weapons Station Yorktown (Yorktown, VA) has been around since 1918, and used to be a big player in ordnance production (mostly an ordnance logistics center today, with the production facilities shut down).
Tredegar Ironworks IRL was still around at least into the 1950's, and in an alternate universe where the CSA survived or was reconstituted it might be a major player as it was during the CW.
Birmingham Steel could represent the large steel industry in Birmingham, AL (sort of the Pittsburg of the South), with suitable specialties.
