I am not sure I get terminology right. 1.12.1 was hotfix (and if I recall correctly 1.11.1- 1.11.3 and even 1.11.4 were called hotfixes as well). Are we talking about 1.13 ?

VIJ does have an easier life in 1444 than is really warranted but lacking these cores has a bit too profound effect now.

Could you explain the reasoning here, or more generally the whole lack of cores in the starting powers in India at the start? I just assumed it was a recent peace but if it is to represent "difficulty" it sounds interesting.

It's hard to get back what was never there in the first place But Parma could probably get a starting core, yes
All of what I've stated in this thread is for the larger bugfix patch and not the hotfix.

It existed in EU3 (the core), so in a sense it was there before. Also, I regret that Anhaltian core was removed.

By when can we expect the next patch? WIll there be new provinces? (some are missing in key areas)

Map changes only come with major patches/DLC. But I agree, Western Iberia (Galicia/Portugal), the Low Countries, France, The British Isles, Greece, the Baltics, Scandinavia, Russia and Japan could all use some tweaking.
