I've been playing ck2 for over 5 months and not a single crusade has started in multiple century long games, even though all requirements are met. Console commands, iron man, uninstalling all mods and even reinstalling the game have not helped.

Yes, a few more details please. What ruler, what date and which DLCs are in play?

Normally crusades unlock at 1090 if Jerusalem is not controlled by Christians, but can trigger as early as 900 if some important Christian areas are out of their control.

So, if somehow Jerusalem has gone Christian before 1090, they might never trigger.

On the other hand, Muslim Jihads trigger after 900 if Jerusalem is not in Muslim hands, so SOME kind of holy war unlock is essentially guaranteed by 1090.
