Let's see...My problem is the following. My installation of CK comes from a CD which I bought as part of the medallion - best value series. The version on the CD is marked as 1.04a (1.05 patcher regards as 1.01), which I patched into 1.05 making the game actually work.
Now, here comes the interesting part. I got my hands on the Deus Vult expansion pack and installed it right away, but my joy was quickly turned into frustration. After the installation (overwriting old files) any attempts to start the game itself leads to
