Crusader Kings Not Launching On Steam

I have had crusader kings 2 for ages and since I upgraded from windows 7 to 10 my game cant run through steam, it says launching crusader kings 2 then nothing.

I can run as admin in base folder in steam but when I run that it acts as if its not even connect to steam no content works and only lan works no community servers, And yes I have done all the dx stuff and to no aval.

I take it you did an in-place upgrade, rather than a clean install of Win10?

If so Please do a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-CK2
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/SteamApps/common/CK2 AND Documents/Paradox/CK2
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- start the game with no mods active and test

And set steam.exe and ck2game.exe to run as the Windows Admin user.

Ive done that but I cant even get to the launcher, it says launching crusader kings 2 then nothing as it id before, after it does show the steam update thing about the games and sales.

Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\crusader kings ii\_CommonRedist\DirectX\ and run dxsetup.exe
Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\crusader kings ii\_CommonRedist\vcredist\ and run vcredist.exe

If that doesn't help, please try installing ALL of these Microsoft modules:
First: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555
Then http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8328
Then: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
(If that doesn't do anything then http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 )
Then: visit the Windows Update site and allow it to apply all .NET updates/patches it wants to, for all .NET versions.

Done all of that and crusader kings has done the same thing.

rightclick on ck2.exe > properties > compatibility > put a check in run as admin

do the same for the steam exe
