I rather liked the CK intro, the best one so far. Gave me a real "adventure" feel. I mean EU2, what the heck was that?

wow...didn't expect the thread to be around by the time I got back from work! Personally, the first time I saw left me wanting more...have been spoiled by the lords of the realm 2 intro and was expecting something similar. However, it really isn't all that bad....aside from the two "deenasties" in a row.
I don't know what intro you got in EU1, but the one I got(Norwegian version) was crap. Now EU2 on the other hand, that was quality!

The intro to EUII was most excellent. I love it.
But the best intro ever must be C&C: Red Alert.

The first half of it is great, then the other half when the plane drops the bombs which fall straight down right away (which is practically impossible) is just plain unneccesary. This though... this intro is about as good as the second half of the HoI-intro mixed with an episode of "Sunset Beach"...

Not a fan of the intro at all, I have to say. The narrator sounds like hes taking the piss with his speech, it being stilted and things. Dynasty, is one of the few things he has going for him, refraining from saying die-nasty as a small minority of English speakers do... I also really don't like the fire post-arrow, it makes the game look tacky as anything as its pixelated to buggery. Finally, the first moving arrow looks like a caveman's painting on the wall.
I expect the evil within the castle walls will be the plague, yes.
All that said, who's going to look at it more than a few times, anyway? I'd rather have that, than insist they stop the presses, come up with something a bit classier and wait an extra couple of months...
I don't remember there being an intro on EU1. It just went straight to the loading screen with the pub, river, bridge and barrels etc. That said, I never had any music, either which was annoying, however crap it might've been. It was the UK version, btw.

haha...i love the british accent. What bothered me was that he said the same word twice within a three second time frame. Just doesn't sound right. The "canman painting" is more of a topographical map in three dimensions. As for the fire after the arrow...ditto

Back on topic: I think the movie is reasonable, it's not the best I've seen, but its far from the worst. The beginning I like, the middle is alright, the end sounds more like a promo, so hopefully they will take that out

Dynasty was pronounced alright. The word I noticed was "emerged"
The intro movie is alright, it has a somewhat different feeling to it that I like. But I could've done without that last arrow...

I´ve seen better intros, like the ones from Fallout (best intro music ever), but its OK anyway. After the first start I skip the intros of every game, so if the intro is the worst thing about CK I´m extremly happy.
