I rather liked the CK intro, the best one so far. Gave me a real "adventure" feel. I mean EU2, what the heck was that?
merlin2199 said:wow...didn't expect the thread to be around by the time I got back from work! Personally, the first time I saw left me wanting more...have been spoiled by the lords of the realm 2 intro and was expecting something similar. However, it really isn't all that bad....aside from the two "deenasties" in a row.

...still think it's crap. HoI-intro is miles better.![]()
Ironside said:refraining from saying die-nasty as a small minority of English speakers do...
Zander said:Well, of course most English speakers at this point aren't even in the "English-speaking" countries: but die-nasty is the accepted American pronunciation, although the English stick with the old din-asty.
As noted in the Columbia Guide to Standard English:

merlin2199 said:haha...i love the british accent. What bothered me was that he said the same word twice within a three second time frame. Just doesn't sound right. The "canman painting" is more of a topographical map in three dimensions. As for the fire after the arrow...ditto
Ironside said:Aye, I know that of course, I was getting at the fact many Americans (in fairness, not in this or the other, IIRC, thread) say that "British" English is a dieing breed as they're in the majority when, in actuality they're in the minority when a large proportion of the rest of the world (particularly non-white areas such as India - population 900,000,000 odd) speak in the "old" tongue.
