They are posted deep in the vaults of the Paradox Forum, also known as OT.

Here is the most recent one

sorry didnt finish reading the whole thread when I quoted this, old brain would have forgot, but if you look at the poll results there the second winner would have been a CK2 with a tie going to a dark ages game. Maybe we can get both. A CK2 that covers the whole dark ages period right up to 1399, this hopefully will actually model the HRE too (when it comes of course)!

Anyway back to finishing the thread and to say that while I am stoked about Vicky 2 I wish that they would have announce a CK2 coming as well. I do think that the EU3 expansion that includes dynasties is looking good for a CK2 though!

I would have preferred a CK2 as well.
I'm deeply engrossed in the game at the moment, though it feels a bit rough at times. It could have done with more and more varied events. It would also be swell to be able to play as a muslim ruler or maybe a knight order...

Anyway, I never played Vicky, but I always imagined it kind of like an EU game going past 1820. Is it good?

Vicky?
CK is the best paradox game, but Vicky is next.

It was hard for me to learn though, and very complex. Definietly more complex then EU2-3. I mean you have to influence immigration/political systems/social reforms/nationalism/freedom rights, all the things important during the industrial revolution. Lots of these things cannot be influenced directly.
It has some flaws as well: the answer is always 'full citizenship' which is not realistic, and the population system is flawed as well (it doesn't really matter how much people work in a factory, they produce nearly the same income, not dependent on their numbers)

That is strange thing, but I've always told myself that it's a system that rewards players who go the extra mile to split all their production pops as being better administrators resulting in more efficient production in RGOs and factories.

I had hoped that they would make CK 2, CK is perhaps my favourite game that paradox has made. I thought Ck was more of a commercial success than Vicky?

It was, but it is also newer than Vicky (and DV is younger than Revolutions). We will get a CK2 somewhere in 2011, considering the Paradox' tempo of releasing new games (EU3 in '07, Rome in '08, HOI3 in '09, V2 in '10).

I believe some people (Ulmont f.e.) had plans for such a project. But nothing has been heard of that again. This either could be good news (they are working secretely on a 'expansion') or bad news (they were refused).

The people who do FTG are the same people who are working on the AGCEEP mod for EU2. This is a very popular mod that has been around for years with a large team of modders working on it.

CK has no mod that even comes close to it (not talking about 'quality' here, but about 'quantity' and 'popularity').

Since it looks like Paradox People take this site (pools, posts, wishes) seriously. Let me add few cents from my point of view (again) about CK2.

What acctualy made me post here is other people request of adding whole asia to game and some other stuff that shocked me. I would dislike that a lot. Current area is perfect set up for this game. The game as a whole idea should be the same. Not too much of change, but lot to improve. So:

Quality of game must be improved. I don’t want so many bugs and errors like in CK (1). Make it faster and easier for computer to handle. Compared with other Paradox game this one was way behind regardes mention things.

Add more events. Add some parts in game from KoH like detailed religion (like being posible to form independent Orthodox church . That way playing as an ortodox would ad more spice into game, since they do not deal with Pope and his affairs). Try to make each character on courts more interesting . I like suggestion for making old people appereance (untill 15 as a children – after 60 as an alderly person /ad white bear and hair or so/ ). Religious wise, I would like more player-involved change of province religion, simular like it was EU2.

I would like some change in a way how to fight (I’m not sure what exactly – maybe adding warrious units to appear on screen and make possible to handle them in battle) but do not made it too complicated eather, like some suggested.

Some change I would like, in a part of economy and build (more building options and ways to be able to build it). Different way of look of the city would be nice. Something that we did not see so far in paradox games. More details and difference inbetween region and religion. Maybe to zoom in to see what happened in (without separete screen, like now). Make up for the look of court it self is neccesery.

So far, Thats it. Will see later if anything else pop up in my mind.

And as much as I’m very sorry that CK2 is not a next project, there are two things that I’m glad for. One – Victoria 2 would be also cool. That is the only game except CK that I realy like of Paradoxians, and since there were talks that it’s never gonna happened, now it seems OK. And Two – as someone allready mentioned, what agreat game it will be CK2, once when is ready, since it will be the last in a raw with all expirience from previous developed new set of games and being Johan’s favourite, I hope it’ll be something more that we all expect.

Indeed.. Allow you to actually play out the battles or even move yourself around the world like in MB.. although this is unlikely due to Taleworlds being a distinct company from Paradox.
I just want to say that I'm strongly opposed to this. This would be a huge design and development time- and resource-suck, for one, with little benefit. "Playing out the battles" would introduce something I find mind-numbing and distracting--tactics.

Whatever the outcome, they should definitely stick to the tried-and-true philosophy: abstract macroscopic strategizing and "sandbox-ing".

I hate to say it, but I'm also opposed to any more micro-managing of battles. There are times when I've got 4 or 5 battles going on at the same time, and having to go in and give specific orders for each one for each stage of the battle would be a horror. As for going in and walking around my cities/provinces, once you've seen one city, you've seen them all, unless they start giving our Courtiers/Citizens/Classes alot more individuality, and then we're talking about alot more processing power just to run the game.

I don't think we will see tactical battles in CK2, that is just not Paradox's thing.

What I would like is some more direct influence on the unit-types you can built, now it is to abstract in my opinion.

With the new engine and the Rome character system, although simpler, we have got a good concrete to work on. Flexible events and modifiers (perhaps decisions and missions?) is all we really need.

Divorce might be pushing it. Henry VIII had to start his own church to get a divorce!
Annulment would be nice though. Perhaps an option to frame the unwanted spouse for adultery, or bribe the Bishop to annul the marriage on some other fabricated grounds.
Much better options.

Divorce is a definite no-no.

Or bribe the Bishop into ignoring a previous dispensation.

Such as the one that allowed Eleanor of Aquitane to marry the King of France, which was withdrawn before she married Richard I of England.
