Don't worry: CK 2 is next, for sure.
I would like an even smaller scale for CK 2, though. Smaller provinces, minor counties and such. And please, just put a good religion system and a powermonger Church and Pope in it We also need heresies and monkish orders.

Why on earth would one have polls posted on an Off-Topic forum?? ... I would say it is very much on-topic subject.
Or at least, if they use such polls for deciding important things like the next project, at least post links in all the on-topic forums about these.

:sigh: Yeah, we may have to wait another few years, but I'm pretty sure that Crusader Kings will come after Vicky2. Johan did specifically say in one old interview that he'd like to revisit it in the new engine. So, keep the faith, brothers....

Well, than we all should pray that Vicky II will be successfull. If not, we will see a HOI 4 before ... :-(
Or we get a cold war game on the next engine? Nah, lets hope for CK2.
Has to be. It's the only one still not converted to the new engine. We can also be sure it will be the title with less problems in the new engine. Paradox learns a bit each time a new game is released.

Indeed.. Allow you to actually play out the battles or even move yourself around the world like in MB.. although this is unlikely due to Taleworlds being a distinct company from Paradox.
I agree that CK was the best. I found it so, anyway. I also think that given the new EU3 expansion is including dynasties just says how great the importance of relationships in the CK times and beyond.
It is almost like a deep and involving RPG system, in the midsts of grand strategy. I can't help desire for CK elements to be standardised into EU and beyond.

Well, in CK the dynastic principe is a core game element. In EU III, it will be a side attraction ... I'm not sure if it really will make EU better.
Just a case of crossing fingers and toes. Hopefully, the response to Vicky II will be strong enough for Paradox to justify fulfilling our hopes for CK II. That Vicky II is being made is a hugely encouraging sign that Paradox is still in touch with its older fan base.
(Just as an aside, is Mr.T alive and well? Is he in a top secret location creating CK II? )

not really useful information for a company in the business of selling games. at least in OT, you will get a rough, comparative popularity of games.
And you also you have to remember that none of those polls were ever 'official', so it wasn't Paradox that asked what we would like to be our next game.

I peruse OOC fairly regularly, so I saw and voted in them but it might not be a bad thing to put polls like in the announcement section to improve visibility, but still make sure you get a good cross-section from the player base (yes, I do polling for the company I work for so sampling and margins-of-error are a fact of life to me
)

If there is a next poll, I will make sure that it is known on the CK-forum
IIRC he (or was it OHGamer?) added a poll on an already existing discussion. So the player started voicing their wishes and Paradox added a counter for it.
