Right click to "Crusader Kings II" at steam library, click "properties", open the "betas" tab, select the old patch under "select the beta you would like to opt into:" .

Okay, I see that.
Right now, the only options are "NONE" and "1.111 - Old version 1.111".
So I assume a new 2.04 version will be available when the patch hits?
So even if you do want to play the old version, you should still update with the patch, but then after updating you should select the beta? (Or do you need to somehow select the 2.04 beta before updating)?

All my previous saves became uplayable but that doesnt matter as much as the fact that ironman mode pauses the game so that the player has to click save instead of it doing it automatically. Is it possible for this to become automated again?

I thought it was just me, but other people are crashing when pressing join server.
Not sure this has been mentioned, but the Vikings in York (867 start) look like crusaders...
And the Muslims from the start up look like Chirstans unless the one that is in spain ( but not in the game just when you choose who to play as )
I play CK II without Steam so I bought the DLC on Gamersgate.com without knowing its Steam only. Can I somehow switch my CK II copy to work with Steam along with all the DLC I bought?

You should have keys according to this to use on Steam if you bought via GG
It seems like only the compression of the autosaves can be toggled (v2.1.1).
The ordinary saves are compressed and there is no option to disable it.
I would've preferred compressed saves to use a different fileextension.
Edit: Ah, found it. It is the usual checkbox with no text next to the filename box.
Btw, it doesn't save the checkstate between saves/sessions.

Any options for transferring pre2.1 into 2.1.1? Like a FREE converter which allows you to lay your pre2.1 savegame over a 2.1.1 savegame?
Example, you have a savegame in the year 1137, you founded the Kingdom of Rus, Europe had its ups and downs, and now you just wish to expand the territory you play in, so new realms just get added accordingly without change of what has happened so far in the pre2.1 area.

Is there a way to manually download the newest patch? My copy of the game says it's up to date, but the map is still in pre-RoI mode, suggesting to me that it hasn't been patched. My game also doesn't appear to recognize that I've bought RoI.
