Oh hey, looks like the skin tones for the women match now. Yay.
Yes but better still, bindis!

Does the diplomatic distance effect sending out chaplains to proselytize? I usually try to convert the steppe peoples in my games, even if I am far away.
The Q&A is probably over, but does anyone know if Mac users will be able to play multiplayer in the new patch ? Unfortunately I didn't see any mention of Mac in the patchnotes.
I am btw not a Mac user, I am a highborn PC user, but two of the people I had convinced to buy Ck2 so we could play multiplayer use Mac. One of them says he can use a Windows emulator, but the other does not have that and does not (currently) know how to use it. Will the person with the Pc emulator be able to play multiplayer ?

"I'm currently in the middle of an Ironman Roman Empire game. I've already gotten the achievement for restoring Rome, and I'm working on getting the "restore old borders" achievement. Tomorrow, RoI comes out, and my save will not work anymore, and I don't know if I can complete the achievement today. My question is: If I tell Steam not to update (Options, Beta) and stay in the current version of the game, will I continue to be able to get achievements? Or I'll need to have the latest patch installed to earn achievements?"
Playing the old version will not disable you from getting any of the old achievements, you will however not be able to get the new achievements.

I dont have Mac but AFAIK Steam's multyplayer support both PC, Mac and Linux for Steamwork titles. To be certain just ask it at EU IV forums, EU IV use that feature of Steam since its release.
I think it's just chancellor missions.
I can't find anything about it in the thread by searching but is there any way to opt out of the patch so that current saves are not yet broken? I have a game right now that's in 1347 and I'd rather not have to spend all night and morning playing it for the EU4 converter.

The education change does not make changing religion or culture impossible, not even close. For one thing, you can still change both through education so long as the tutor is not your courtier (or the courtier of someone else who doesn't have the religion/culture you want. Simple solution: give the would be tutor a random barony and you can do it exactly the same as before). But there are also plenty of ways to change both religion and culture that have nothing to do with education. Pagans can convert to their spouse's/concubine's religion. Vassals can convert to their liege's culture (and religion if it's in the same group). Heretics can convert to the parent religion. The new Indian religions will have a decision that can be taken once each character's life to convert to a different one (Hindu to Buddhist, for example). Even without knowing what "employer" means in the education change, there's no reason to think that conversions would be impossible. How will that be possible now?
Yes, in Steam you'll be able to revert to the 2.0.4 version of the game (as in, the pre-RoI version).
I just changed my Steam settings:
1. For normal Steam settings, I limited the Auto-Update scheduling to 12 AM - 1 AM
2. For CK2, I selected "Do not automatically update this game" and "Never allow background downloads"
3. I also made backups, both manually (copy and save the directory) and through Steam backups
So once the patch hits, will I be able to just keep playing my current game (in my current game folder under the FCUV check sum) to get the old achievements (including the Decadence Revolt one) or will I need to do something special to "revert" back to 2.0.4?
Thanks!

The "do not automatically updated this game" options only mean it won't be updated if you don't use it. If you open it, it will update immediately. What PI will offer is a "beta patch" that actually is 2.0.4, so a rollback. Enlist in the beta program and you will be set.
