I prefer not to go feudal until there's nobody convenient left to raid. Having a lot of cash handy really smooths the transition. You might want to spend your prestige for tribal armies and tribal improvements in your primary duchy for as long as you still can, too. Every two levels of prestige-built tribal buildings saves you having to pay for one level of normal buildings when you go feudal.

I can't remember off the top of my head, do Tocharians use dynastic title names? Only specifically assigned cultures will use [Dynasty name] Kingdom/Shahdom/Sultanate. Also, only one member of a dynasty gets to use the dynastic title, so if you have a kinsmen who is also a king-tier landed character, they may be using the dynastic title instead of you. The character who gets the dynastic title is the dynasty's "head", which you can see in the dynastic tree menu accessed by clicking on the dynasty coat of arms and then clicking the button.

Thank You, but I don't understand that stupid coat of arm. I'm only one ruler from my dynasty :/

Well, the single Tocharian realm at the start of 867 is named Khotan, which is definitely not a dynastic name, so I'd guess Tocharians do not have dynastic realms.

I took Constantinople and made them Muslim. I created Sultanate of Greece and installed a guy to be the king. He was happy and bit by bit he revoked all the Orthodox vassal and instal muslim vassal (or demand religious conversion)
But the Ecumenical Patriach is still there and he seems to be my direct vassal. As he is orthodox (he should be) he is almost always hates me.
Can I get rid of him ? and how ? never tried to revoke yet, what happens if I revoke his title ?
He seems almost the only one orthodox as the basileus of Byzantine is now Catholic.

1. Grant him independence (I think this is possible) or tolerate his presence. He can't do much to you.
2. Through the diplomatic interface
3. I don't think you can revoke the Ecumenical Patriarchate

When one of your commander dies in battle, you got the pop up to asign new commander in the top middle of your screen. You can't miss it.

He is talking about the death event not the notification of the vacant honorary title. He has to change the message settings for the death in combat message settings. Just don't know where in message settings that is but it should be there. It is most likely set to be minimum priority so it appears under that section in the top right corner.

Sorry for that. It would be nice if we had a message saying: your commander died in a glorious battle, without any fear, he went first but got an arrow right threw his heart, at least he killed the archer with his sword before dying. The kingdom will make a feast because of courage.. and then his succesor gets a prestige boost or a small army pop up. This would put some nice spices i think

In my current game a Croatian dynasty took over the kingdom of Lombardy. It triggered the event of the change of name to Italy and the event said that the new king is Italian though he's a Croat. Is it a bug or is it supposed to happen like that, what is the trigger of this kingdom's name change ?

My current save game has bloated to about 90 Megabytes... and the lag is simply unbearable (about a day per two seconds on full speed). I have a decent rig, iCore 7 CPU with a NVIDIA 965 GPU and 8 GB of RAM, but I do not know how much is enough to finish a whole game from Charlemagne to the 15th century. Currently my game stands at around 1040, so about 250 years of game time has passed.

I am also unsure if this is what is wrong, but in this game I also conquered all of the known world (last patch before Horse Lords) about 75 years ago and then let it run so that I could export to EUIV and see for myself how would the AI handle my game.

Anyway, is there a mod or something that I could do in order to lower the lag? I already tried disabling water & trees, though it does not help much at all.

Where do i go if i want to learn the combat mechanics of the game in-depth? I only look at who has more units, but i want to learn the more complex stuff.

This will get you started: http://www.ckiiwiki.com/Combat
And here you can check out all the tactics used: http://www.ckiiwiki.com/Combat_tactics

Finally, this thread is referenced as the source for the information and may be more in-depth than the wiki: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/combat-mechanics.664959/

The tl;dr of it is that during the skirmish phase archers counter light cavalry & camels, which counter horse archers, which counter archers. And then during the melee phase pikemen counter heavy cavalry, which counter heavy infantry, which counter pikemen. Light infantry and war elephants don't seem to have a counter. It's difficult to control army composition of vassal levies, but you can influence the composition of demense levies by selective upgrades (it's difficult to upgrade everything anyway) and you have full control over what retinues you pick. Major break points for martial skill of commanders are 8, 12, and 16.

Fun fact: if a commander has Lisp or Stutter that may result in a "confused orders" tactic.

Ok, but where to i see them?
It's somewhere in the message settings. I am not entirely sure. You could also try to increase message priority when the siege event pops up in the alerts.

So i watched the message settings but i found no event that states a commander/leader died in battle. That's absurd because it is of vital importance to know if your commander is alive or death. Ok the minor title alert is displayed, but i don't know who died or what happened

Siege events are still happening

I don't have them anymore, and in the message settings there is no mention about this events.

I think that this are two questions that are important during warfare or surely interesting.
