Ok right now i only have low authority so i will see how it goes.

Does it work even if i have medium crown authority but for ducal level and not king level title?

There's no such thing as crown authority as a duke. If you mean tribal organization, then yes. If you are a vassal and you mean your king's crown authority, then yes.

I'm playing as Danmark with the goal of forming Scadanavia at some point. But there's a problem - Norge belongs to a member of the Knights Templar who owns EVERY county except Adger. He's literally Count of every count. He is not the grandmaster but a Commander under the Grandmaster. Norge currently has no title holder, but the previous one was a king who was a herectic and subject to a crusade. Is there any way I will be able to claim counties from this Knights Templar guy? I can't imagine going to war with a holy order will be well-received by the church or my church vassals.
So my question is, can I fix this mess somehow with editing or in-game mechanics? I really need Norge's land to form Scandanvia. (I currently hold kingdom of Danmark+finland+almost 50% of sweden)

Edit: Apparently the Knights Templar commander is somehow under the King of England. Unfortunately I allied with him earlier without realizing he was overall over the Knights Templar. Oops.

SOLVED!

Another religious problem. Firstly, i remember when i was taking a catholic ruler, i could have a force conversion population event which also increased revolt risk. Hence does anyone know the event number and the triggers, only that this is for a buddhist ruler now.

Secondly, my character was a theravada buddhist and now i noticed random mahayana and vajrayana buddhist popping out in my kingdom of ireland 0.o

Although i guess it doesnt really matter much but is there a way to get them to change their branch of religion to match mine? :D

For the purposes of CK2, the sub-types of Indian religions are really just traits for members of the same religion and are basically treated as identical to all others save for the small bonuses each offers and a -5 opinion penalty between sects. You can do nothing to impact them. Except your own choice. You can choose that.

Pretty sure that when it went up for sale, it was listed as "only 100 available" on the Royal Edition so I guess 100 people beat you to it.

What is Royal Edition, just out of curiosity?

How come the duchy of Brittany is localized as Breizh when held by a Breton yet the kingdom isn't?

Hi, my question is that why when I give away a county with its lord, like my vassal (count) pass from being my vassal to being one's of the duke which I'm delegating the duchy to (you probably get it), and/or when like a direct vassal o'mine dies and his son or wathever inherits right: I always see on the vassal tab a black "0.00" with the "Feudal Tax" at 0%, even when I have the laws on 10% feudal taxation. You probably know what I'm talking about, I hardly doubt that anyone who played at least as long as me ("just" 70h) haven't see what I'm talking about. I don't know why that happens, and although my calculations (yes I actually went that far) when seeing what the duke is paying me seems to prove that actually his vassal IS paying him, I don't know what it appears like that at all, and it annoys me xD

P.D.: Sorry if my english is sluggish and not correct at all, not native speaker D:

Hi, my question is...

I think you are asking this. Why does my duke pay feudal tax to me, but the duke's counts do not pay feudal tax to him? Yes?

Each landed character has their own demesne laws. Demesne laws apply to that character's vassals. Your demesne laws are set to 10% feudal tax, so all of your feudal vassals pay you 10% of their income. Your duke's demesne laws are set to zero feudal tax, so his feudal vassals pay zero taxes to him.

AI characters always keep their feudal tax law at zero.

Is there any way to see the percentage of land held for an empire? I can see how many counties I control for a kingdom title under that title's info screen, but I can't find anywhere the empire numbers show up.

Yes that's what I was asking, but the fact that the AI put the feudal tax to zero is kinda infortunate isn't it? And I tried to change the duchy laws before giving it away but it won't let me, just the kingdom laws D: Altho that dosn't answer why feudal vassals show 0% feudal tax when a heir takes over too S: It could be like a "mini rebelion" to their sudden new liege? Idk really...

Make sure show de jure duchies or something is selected when you click on the title empire. Under the create title button, you can see how much of the land you have held in percentage. Take note that for empires you need 80%

how do i stop revolts happening and how do i control them ? i am byz and i have reformed the roman empire.i want to keep playing as long as possible.if i see a faction breeding should i jail the leader of it asap ?also when im about to finish somebody revolting against me another revolt starts somewhere else in my dynasty.i can put these down easily but the whole thing becomes very tedious.anyway i candle play on without getting bored.i have around 25k manpower if that matters.

how do i stop revolts happening and how do i control them ? i am byz and i have reformed the roman empire.i want to keep playing as long as possible.if i see a faction breeding should i jail the leader of it asap ?also when im about to finish somebody revolting against me another revolt starts somewhere else in my dynasty.i can put these down easily but the whole thing becomes very tedious.anyway i candle play on without getting bored.i have around 25k manpower if that matters.

Jailing a faction leader is almost always a bad decision. It'll just make people mad and likely not end the faction... tyranny and all that. If it's a weak faction, you literally just took an opinion penalty to stop a non-issue. Instead, try to force them out with your spymaster. Anyone they forced in (that doesn't otherwise want to join) will just leave then. Preemptively use Imperial Administration to reacquire titles from would-be troublemakers. Put them under more tractable vassals. Improve relations with stronger guys you think you can control.

Jailing the faction leader kicks them out of the faction and just makes another faction member become the leader. Practically speaking, jailing the leader is no more useful than jailing any other faction member as the end result is simply the faction has less troops.

As Byz specifically, you can excommunicate anyone with the same religious head as you and then imprison them freely. Otherwise, follow Tom's advice. Thanks to Imperial Administration, you can defang any faction easily.
