Why would I want to obtain more provinces outside of my capital if I am going to loose them?
Soz for being a div! I have just had the succession crisis and my primary heir has inherited a total of two counties. I am always getting inheritance warnings but don't know how to manage them. My dude had before succession: Kingdom, 2 douches, lots of random counties. (I selected the holdings my dude kept purely on value btw, which is probably why I had messed up.)
Is there a guide that gives a detailed break down of what is happening and how to protect my successor? I couldn't change laws by the way. (The new dude might be able to but he only has two counties).
As a rule of thumb, if you own any provinces outside your de jure capital duchy, you will lose those provinces but retain your capital provinces. So remember to obtain more provinces outside your capital duchy.
