Don't know if this was asked before, but here goes.
I learned that the jewish faith has no weight for kingdoms in regards to crusades, so the AI will never call one on it's own.
My question is, is it possible to request one like it was when Sons of Abraham was released?
I restored the Kohen Gadol, Landed him, Crusades and Jihads are active, and yet the option doesn't show up.

I believe this option is only available to Catholics (and I suppose Fraticelli if they have a Pope) as it is now tied to the Cardinal mechanics.

Hello forum,

You guys always prove quite helpful. Perhaps you could answer this very simple question: (I have vanilla CK2, latest patch, and no DLC) if I purchase TOG or SOA will it corrupt or otherwise distort my current ironman game? In other words, are DLCs compatible with a game saved while utilizing the non-DLC base game?

Should be A-okay. It's all there already, really, as you could play with someone who had it in MP and take advantage of all of it. Buying it just enables it for you in single player. The "Latest Patch" thing is key, though, as sometimes patches do make save game weirdness.

I remember reading something in a set of patch notes about being able to take over your vassal's wars. How exactly does that work? If my vassal has declared a holy war, do I just need to declare a holy war on the same person for the same target duchy, and his war will stop and become my war? Or will he just get the territory if I win the war?

Is there any real way to avoid getting ROFLstomped as an independent kingdom near a larger one (Byzantines, cough cough). If I maintain good relationships with whomever has eyes for me, is that likely to keep them off my land, or does the want for Lebensraum trumph all friendship?

I've found that keeping your chancellor in their capital and continuously improving relations is a good way to stay alive. The issues arise when you get a crappy chancellor that goes a decade without improving relations (or worse, ruining them) or they get a new ruler who decides to invade you before you can get a good relationship with them.

This will generally work unless they have NO other viable targets. For the Byzantines, this is pretty much forever, since they'll typically go back and forth with the Muslim empires in the East. It's less effective if, say, you are Abyssinia and there are nothing but Sunni rulers around. Still can hold them off for a time even so.

As a good Catholic, I crushed the HRE for its Anti-Pope (just after having overthrown the ancient Pope by my own Anti-Pope :p), and now that I'm Emperor I want to get a new Anti-Pope (in order to vassalize it). But it keeps telling me that an Anti-Pope has recently been crushed by force, so how many time do I need to wait until I could make a new AP ? It's already been like 50 years :/

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but if you declare war on the same guy, your vassal's contributions to his own war effort will also count as contributions to your war effort. So if he's occupied territory, for example, it will increase the warscore for both his war and your war.

Dear posters,

I'm playing my first game as a Romuvite pagan. I haven't reformed it yet and I guess this is the reason for my heir not applying the benefits of ruling his own county before becoming a duke. I see the malus factor for short regin is simply crazy (-36!!! :eek:hmy::blink:). This is why I decided to give my heir a county to rule before my duke was dead. That would eliminate the malus once he became the new ruler. Well, I was wrong. Now that he is at the throne everyone is applying that terrible -36. Will this not happen once the Romuvite religion is reformed?

Thank you in advance.

Is there any way I can change which save games directory the game looks at when it loads?

Yup .

See Different location for save files and screenshots here:
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...rmance-boost-file-locations-DLC-names-numbers

No it doesn't, as it's a direct relation malus, thus it's related to them being his vassals.
Only if he would have vassals, then the malus with these vassals would be reduced when he takes over, as it counts from the moment they are his vassals.
No matter if he's the top liege or a lower level liege.

Will this not happen once the Romuvite religion is reformed?

The short reign modifier should only be twice as much then, than usual. Unreformed is three time as high.
As far as i know.
