Yes.

Feudal laws effect feudal type rulers, who hold castles, and are centered on dynastic successions. Feudal rulers are more likely to press claims, expand, and become powerful, and compose of most of the world. City rulers are the holders of city-type baronies and Republics. They are less likely to press claims, and are effected by city laws. Bishop laws effect all Theocratic rulers.
Ah I see, that's more simple than I thought it was.
Feudal = nobles
City = Burghers
Bishop = Clergy
Right? How can you tell what character type someone is?
By their holding and title. A mayor would own a city, bishop a temple, and feudal character a castle. Republics can also hold castles, but their primary holding is a city. Courtiers, having no titles, are not effected by laws.

My character has the Kinslayer trait, is there any way for me to find out whom he killed?
Murderers' ids are kept in the save file, IIRC, so if you have an un-compressed save and search for "killer = "/yourcharactersid/"" or something like that, you should be able to find it. A bit of a palaver though.
Thanks, I found him. He was a random kinsman that, as far as I can tell, never got a title, and never married.
Why my character killed him, I have no idea. The murder took place before he inherited the throne, but this guy wasn't a threat to that inheritance in the slightest.
It is a mystery.
Can Semien Jews borrow from Jews? I never saw that option, even after random Jews show up at court. It's strange that Jews would lend to everyone else but not to their our kind.
Yes, Jews lending to Jews was a big no no.I don't think so.
There have been past discussions about this. Most of them have been about how religious usury laws tend to be restrictive on lending/charging other people of the same religion.
Ok Thanks. Good to know. But the Jew money is a huge life saver for any challenging start, gameplay-wise it doesn't make sense to deny Jews this money. Maybe making the opinion minus more severe for Jews borrowing from Jews would work. Denying it altogether really limit the options they have at the start.
I think he will get the current kings lands, at least a part of them. He'll not stay unlanded, at the very least.
I've just done it recently with a unlanded female claimant, and she got more than the capital, but I'm not sure if she got the additional counties when she became Queen or if she simply revoked them.
