Double Titled King?

Is it possible to have a King with "The Great" and "The Holy" titles together? I've nearly fulfilled both Paragon of Virtue and Exhalted among men requirements (need only 10 piety for Paragon of Virtue and 100 Prestige for Exhalted among men). Is it feasible to have a leader with both?

No. For one, it's impossible to have two epithets - William "the Bastard" changes his epithet when he wins his war to William "the Conqueror", rather than having two. Furthermore, you can't have both the "Become Paragon of Virtue" and "Become Exalted among Men" ambitions active at the same time, since you can only have one ambition at a time, and beyond a certain level of progress (e.g. 100/1000 prestige) you won't be able to pick the ambition, so it's nigh-on impossible to do the ambitions one after another.

I am running the paragon of virtue ambition right now, but was hoping to have it then do the exhalted among men after...but hey ho, if it isn't possible, then such is life.

Am I going insane, or does the game no longer allow you to use 1, 2, 3 to control speed? Did it ever? Did I make this up in my head?

1. I always had the impression that council members could lead armies. But when I choose leaders for armies, councilors are not available (no, I do not forbid them to join armies).
2. Do "holy men" need to be landed so they can take the "Priest" council position?

1. You can't select council members when you assigned them a job. To solve this, simply unassign the job.
2. Might be for byzzies and pagans, but don't remember.

Hi all, I'm playing as a Norse pagan. I would like to form Scandinavia and as far as I can tell I meet all of the requirements. However, the game won't let me form the empire. Do I have to either reform the religion or convert? The only other thing I can think is that I need one more province. The requirement is 80% and I have exactly 80%. I really can't see the problem and I'm starting to suspect a bug. Anyone got any thoughts on this?

If the percent requirement is red, you are still short a province. (I don't remember how many provinces are needed.) Multiply the number of provinces shown by 0.8 and if it is a fraction, you will indeed need the next number higher.

No that's not a problem. I need 80% and I have 80%. My thought was that I might need to have over 80%, but I''ve just checked and that's not the problem. I fulfill all of the requirements. Which is why I thought it could be a religion thing. Other than that I'm stumped.

The game rounds up when showing you the percentage of the empire you have, but not when deciding whether you have enough. Likely you have 79.7% or thereabouts, so try capturing one more province in Scandinavia. If it has you listed as having, say, 82%, while you have the other requirements, and not allowing you to form the empire, then something's off.

Scandinavia has no religious requirement to form, anyway. If it did, it'd be listed under "Special Creation Conditions" when mousing over the "Create" button.

I am a female Zoroastrian ruler, aged 49. My husband just died. When I click on the "arrange marriage" button, I see no options for my new future husband. What's going on? I don't fancy trying to get through the next 30 years without a spouse's bonus stats.

This means that there are no guys who want you. Basicly you can't have babies anymore and for that you are useless in the eyes of important men. You can still marry someone from your court though. Just go on your character diplomacy screen and click "arrange marriage" there. It will show you all guys from your court that are not married.

You can also try and find some lowborn or unimportant men in other people's court that have good traits. Then try to invite them to your court, and when they arrive you can marry them.

Of course, if you can't marry anyone important (for an alliance) and can't have children, there is little point in marrying besides getting a stewardship bonus.

The weird thing is that I have a ton of unmarried men in my court, including the guy I would like to marry. But they don't show up when I go to "arrange marriage" for my character.
Which "arrange marriage" option? The little circular button with 2 wedding rings under the character portrait, or the wide rectangular button in the diplomatic screen, which appears together with all the other diplomatic options like "declare war", "assassinate" and "arrange betrothal"?
