Ha, I'm playing Denmark which starts out with one elector that isn't the King. I make sure that one guy is a total yesman and even if he wasn't, it seems my vote weighs more anyway. I intentionally haven't created any more elector titles and make sure no one else can do so either. So, I get the best of both worlds - Elective opinion bonuses, and I get to designate my heir essentially by myself. And as long as the duchy titles don't even exist (Skane and Sjaelland) the local counts don't even get the 'desires the Duchy' opinion malus. So yes, Denmark 1066 is in a fortunate situation and probably good for newbies.
