Certainly not! Levies are intimately tied to vassals, so he would definitely be unable to raise your levies if you are fighting him with them.

So there is no way to strip the money of one of the vassal holy orders?
I can't sit when one of my vassals has 100 times more money then my empire... But imprisonment/banish doesn't work - there is no banishment option. I don't care about tyranny, so how may I do this?

If a Great Holy War succeeds are the lands conquered given out in the same way as for a crusade?
My Denmark (all of Sweden, Denmark, Frisia, bit of Pomerania and East Francia) survived the 1st Crusade intact.
I was thinking of declaring a GHW on England. Both Jorvik and Norway (my ally) have claims there but I'd rather Norway get it if I won't.

Chances are pretty good it won't go away and he'll either die infirm or spiral into incapable. Make sure to use your last years( unless he ends up living infirm - or worse, incapable - for a long time yet. It happens) well and stock up on money for possible revolts if your heir's female or/and a child.

Does "Complete Control" (for an achievement) require usurping duchies and kingdoms?

Edit: Nope, turns out it doesn't. I usurped all I could except Andalusia, as "Andalusia", somewhere in North Africa, was at war with a host that wasn't even targetting the kingdom title. Got the achievement anyway.

As a jewish ruler I started rebuilding the Third Temple several (6-7) years ago, and it wasn't completed yet despite the event telling me to wait 4 years. The ruler starting the temple died during the second year of construction, could it have affected the building somehow? Is this decision known to be buggy? How to force the completion of the temple if needed (I have no saves going back to the previous ruler).

It's known to be buggy and it's been fixed in 2.1.5.7.

Thanks for the quick answer, however any clues on how to fix that in my game?

Can someone explain something to me?

I'm a duke. I have a count as vassal who controls one province. His opinion of me is 86. He has martial skill 6 (15), and I have 9 (27). The levy size reported under his castle reads 638/638. I have normal levy size law. When I click the "raise levies" button of that province, it says I get only 93 men. 93? Isn't that a bit low? What's going on here?

Depends.... do the math:

Raise_liege_levy.png
Liege Levy

Liege Levy are levy raised from a direct vassal. Since Patch 2.0 vassals will only provide levy if having a positive opinion of their liege. Vassals are not obligated to give all of their levies, and maximizing the number of troops they are willing to give is one of the keys to proper realm management.
The formula to know the levy amount raised from a vassal is based on 50% of his Holdings Levy further modified by laws and opinion:

Liege Levy = 50% x Total Holdings Levy x Liege Levy Modifier x Max((Opinion Toward Liege * (1-Levy Law Penalty)), Crown Law Minimums) where:

  • Total Holdings Levy is the total levy of all holdings under that direct vassal. Note that neither the opinion of sub-vassals towards their top liege nor their opinion towards their immediate liege is relevant.

  • Liege Levy Modifier is a modifier based on the location of a vassal capital within the top liege de jure capital realm. It was introduced with Patch 2.0 to represent the lower authority of a ruler over vassals located in non de jure part of the realm.
Capital county Capital duchy Capital kingdom Capital empire Outside capital realm
100% 75% 50% 35% 25%

  • Opinion Toward Liege is the positive opinion modifier of the vassal toward his liege, transformed into a percentage. It is the maximum % of levy a vassal may give before applying Levy Law penalty. It can range from 0% to 100%. At 0 the vassal will not provide more than the Crown Law Minimums.

  • Levy Law Penalty is the penalty applied to Opinion Toward Liege based on the Demesne Law corresponding to the vassal type. It varies from -0% to -50%. Muslims have a combined Iqta Levy Law that affects both feudal and religious vassals.

I desperately need to get my dukes to vote for my blood relative, the King of Poland.
My current vassals are:
-Voting for the Duke of Pest
Duke of Pest and Nyitra
Duchess of Pest and Nyitra, my blood relative regularly married to the former (she was too old and her one kid died)
Duchess of Ungvar, the Duke of Pest's mom

-Voting for the Duke of Transylvania
Duke of Transylvania, friend of my heir
My kinsman, holds 3 ducal titles and ISN'T VOTING FOR HIMSELF

-Voting for my kinsman
Me

If I vote for another candidate of my bloodline, my kinsman will vote for them, but voting otherwise will cause him to vote for the Duke of Transylvania.

If I die, I lose my kingdom title, putting me as the regularly married Queen of Sicily, who's too old to have more kids.

So, in essence, how can I convince my vassals, all of which have 40 or greater opinion of me, to vote for my kinsman?

I have no other options. The most I could do is pass it off to the duchess of Pest and delay this for another generation.
