Nope, it was a restriction introduced to stop people trying to circumvent Gavelkind.

Were it me, I'd just not land him (he'll probably do something stupid) and just roll with it, but if you want the best you can get you might be better off making your own thread about it.

What are the prerequisites for trying to fabricate a claim on your liege's primary title? I've done it a coupla times with Aquitaine but I'm not really sure what it needs. Low crown authority? Do you have to be the right sex? Do you have to have a really big part of the kingdom already? Do you have to be the same culture/religion?

When an unreformed pagan inherits a realm with medium+ crown authority, does it stay there?
In other words, are pagans forbidden from raising crown authority higher, or from having it higher?

I thinks it will stay. I have gotten Absolute Crown authority as a republic before because of that.

Just roll with it? OK :(

Alternately, grab a catholic maid to marry/concubine, convert, change succession law, profit...

(stuff about vassal king malus)

No, there is no way to remove the -25 vassal king modifier without releasing them. One thing to keep in mind, though, is if you take their crown (through whatever means) and end up with multiple kingdome then you end up with a -20 with all your dukes so the vassal king isn't really that much worse.

No, the head of a religion is always of that religion. Had that problem with the Ecumenical Patriarch too.

About pagan gavelkind - would this work: convert to christian near end of life via concubine(while making sure no vassals ends up hating you), change succession and raise CA, try to die fast. Then do it again if necessary. I'm fairly sure the CA would stay, but would the new succession law stick(through generations)?

I have a modding problem with religions: I want to change the holy sites of the nurse religion from Germany and the Netherlands to England (fits more with the vikings).
But I can't find the #!+*# file in which the holy sites are set for each religion! Why isn't it in the 00_religions.txt?!
Do anyone know what file to modify?

When you declare an independence war, how is your liege's troop strength calculated? If your realm makes up the majority of your king's realm and you decide to leave, will he still have access to his "full" king-level manpower, as if you were part of his realm? Or is it recalculated in light of your secession?
