Hi! Question : The empire as low crown authority. And me, as a king, can't change my kingdom's crown authority. Although I see other kings around me, in the same empire, change their crown authority to absolute. In my kingdom laws panel, I don't see the option to change crown authority... There are only the six lines for levies and taxes.
Why can other kings change their authority and not me?
I'm currently the Duchy of Makuria trying to take the single Province of Hayya. I'd beaten their army and was about to lay seige when army from Abyssinia came up and beat my army. Hayya isn't a part of Abyssina, and from the Warscore screen hadn't officially joined, so I'm really not sure what happened.
On a second thought, if I were to swear fealty to Abyssina, I'd still keep all my vassels, correct? I've got my own 3 province Duchy plus 4 other counties.
Since I have last played CK2 they have changed the launcher by making it nonexistant. I have checked the content screen and it says the mod I downloaded is inactive and I cant figure out how to activate it. How do I activate it?
Oh that's it, thank you very much! It makes sense. And in 15 years some of these empires will be De Jure too, so I suppose they will lose their absolute authority when their De Jure switches. Are the other kings outside the de-jure area of the empire?
Celtland or Celtic Empire perhaps maybe down the road call it the United Celtic Kingdom grab the Welsh while your at it.What would a Celtic name for an empire encompassing Scotland and Ireland be?

In game though I bellive it remains Britannia, it's a shame you can't rename kingdoms or empires... My dream of forming the Holy Poop Empire is sadly just that.

So I was wondering how I would ligitimize a bastard son. I'm playing old king snake in the eye and my second son is the only male left as my eldest son died of depression that he had been struggling with since he was two and my wife is to old to bear any more children. As it stands now my kingdom will be split up between my many daughters and I have checked the decision list and its not there, I even made him a count and made him the norse version of a bannerman but alas it seems realm stability eludes me. The tool tip stated that it if I acknowlaged him as my son I could ligitimize him later but besides waiting to see if the game is nice what are my options? Oh I'm playing ironman so cheating is out of the question, any answers would be greatly appricated!
Customization PackI didn't realize, which DLC?

What's going in here? I got him as a vassal in a de jure war against a revolt. He's an infidel, so I should be able to revoke his title - but the revoke button is grey...
The main reason you kept the baronies in your capital is for your now-at-least-somewhat-useful marshal/steward to apply their magic. If you own a city, you get -75% to income. However, if you got a decent steward and he applies a +50% it's only -25%. If you have Trade Practices 2 then it's only -5%. With much higher income cities you will quickly notice your capital city outstripping any castle you have (including the capital with +50%).
