My Emperor revoked one of my counties by forging a claim via plot. He then gave the duchy to his son. The Emperor died, but the son still lives, but has no children. When dies, provided he has no heir, the county should go back to me, right? Or would it go to the current Emperor?
In the Find People window didn't the game display thumbs up/down in earlier versions? Do you really just have to click on everyone until someone accepts? I'm searching for a Spy Master...
If a character dies with no heir then their holding(s) go to their current liege. Depending on succession law in the county he could well have an heir (brother, sister, nephew, cousin, uncle, etc.). If not then it would go to the current emperor unless the vassal contract has been transferred to a duke/king.
As far as I recall, no, it never had that feature. CLAIMANT LISTS did and still do -- perhaps that is what you are thinking of?
I'm seeing a discrepancy in who is the heir to Kingdom of Hungary, what can account for this? When I bring up the King his heir is shown as his second son but when I hover over the characters, it says the first son will inherit the Kingdom. The first son is of my dynasty and in my court being educated.
Is it more effective to set your councilors spreading tech in your capitol or in the nearby regions of your own demesne?
Is there any way to change the 'type' of a holding in a province? I'm playing as a custom Tengrist ruler in an area where the original ruler was a Muslim, and I want to know if I can change things like the mosques in to whatever the pagan equivalent is (can't remember). The region's population is already Tengrist.
1) How do I encourage pregnancies? I happened to have a daughter with my wife but she's now 4 with no new pregnancies. Is this as expected? my previous king had 6 children haha. there are no -%fertility traits.
2) Playing as Norway, I somehow inherited Sweden. There was an event that said that someone was plotting within Sweden to give the crown to me and so it happened. What's the best way to go forward? Should I revoke counties/titles from the swedish vassals and slowly give them to my family members or just leave it as is?

Selecting the "have a son" ambition will give you a small fertility bonus. (So does "have a daughter" but since you've already had one you can't pick it)
I don't really know how to answer, as I never give my family members land. Do you want to keep Sweden or get rid of it? Do you want to try and drift the kingdom into Norway?
I already have the "son ambition" but nothing. I was hoping there was something else. At what point should I ditch my current queen and go for a younger one in hope of another son?
I'd like to keep Norway and maybe "drift" it whatever that means haha.
If you're that desperate to have a son, age 45 is when women stop being able to have children. I don't think there's any kind of gradient, so a 45-year-old is, as far as I can tell, just as fertile as a 17-year-old. You could try and pull a Henry VIII, though, and start executing/divorcing them if they don't give you a son straightaway.
Drifting Sweden into Norway would mean that all of de-jure Sweden would become de-jure Norway, and the kingdom of Sweden would become a titular title like Cyprus. You'd have to destroy the kingdom of Sweden - which would upset all the vassals there - and wait 100 years.

I am playing as Rurik and my jewish neighbor sent someone to convert me. If I accept and convert, will I be able to continue my game (I mean : load saves) ?
Also, is it interesting to play as a Jewish lord ?

contd from my Norway inherits Sweden game:
1. How do I deal with succession? My king just died, and my brother (now me) became in power. Pretty much everyone hates me, multiple threats (one of which reached 86%!), everyone wants this and that..How do I deal with this? Is there a guide out somewhere? I somehow came out unscathed but I think I just got lucky.
2. What benefits does "duchy" of something give you? Maybe I'm misunderstanding it, but it seems just a title and doesn't give tax/levys? A bunch of vassals want this title and if its not doing anything for me, should I give it to them? Right now I hold the following titles: King of Sweden, King of Norway, 2x Duchy and 6 holdings. What happens if I give out these duchy titles?
3. All the Swedish Vasslas have "+foreigner" modifier which lowers opinion. How do I get rid of this? Do I just breed into Swedes?
4. Also, what's the point of bishops and temples? I have 3 bishops and 2 of those are from the 2 temples I built. However all my tax is going to the Pope even though they all have +100 opinion of me. Where's the advantage in building temples then if all the tax is depleted. Is there a way to stain their relationship with the pope?
