I somehow wound up with Gavelkind succession. I'd have rather have Primogeniture or Ultimogeniture, so the titles don't get split up. Unfortunately, I have a several Vassal holders that are rather unhappy with me, because I seized the Duchy titles. (They were rebellious and I left them as counts. What more could they want. Sheesh!). I'd rather have only one child inherit,(I have 5 and my oldest daughter has the 'Imbecile' trait. ). Is there any way I can change succession at this point?

With everyone hating you? Not without cheating. You CAN kill them all or pull the ol' imprison-and-banish-the-realm schtick. If every new vassal has never heard of your past crimes, life is good again...

I know it was possible to rename counties in previous patch versions, but somehow im unable to do so now. Didnt play since ~ 2 weeks after RoI.
Just to make sure, I open the county view (where I build buildings in my holding) and just click on the name right ? Is that not possible anymore ?

You pretty much can't. You can only take posts from patricians with more than you as doge and who have 3 or fewer less than you as a fellow patrician.

When it was added that you can hire merchant ships via decisions? I played this game a lot, but I only noticed it now. Don't tell me it was added in the Republic expansion.............o

Are there instances in which the option to 'Offer White Peace' might be greyed out on the make peace screen?

I just had a war against a vassal who revolted. For some reason, the option to offer white peace was completely greyed out and I only had the option to surrender or enforce demands. I've never seen this happen before. Often, when a vassal revolts, I tend to race towards a favourable warscore and offer white peace rather than play 'whack a mole' with my vassals for hours at a time! :laugh:

To give this a bit of context, the icon indicating that one of my vassals might revolt popped up shortly after I came to the throne and then the event fired. The war goal was to put my son (and heir) on the throne.

Was the white peace not an option because they were disputing my succession? I assume this is the case but I'm not really sure.

His vassals will stay the same,but if you ocuppy ALL provinces you get the entire Kingdom and can distribute freely.

Don't give same level titles to your vassals that your highest is as they can't be your vassals and become vassals of your liege or get independent if you don't have a liege. Same level rulers can't be vassals of eachother. Get a king title then you can give the duke titles to your vassals.

I'm stacking the College of Cardinals pretty well... got 2 of my bishops in there already, working on the third. I know at least one of my bishops voted for the current pope, but I don't seem to be getting the +100 opinion modifier. I am Serene Doge of England/Venice. Over time mercenary companies have more soldiers per unit cost but I don't know the exact mechanics for the increase.

Trying to do some land managment. As King, I've got a bunch of Duchy titles, which seems to be giving a negative opinion modifier with my vassals. I'd like to give out some, but I want to make them smaller so I they won't be such a threat. Most of them are 4 province, and I want to lower them so that they're 2 at max. Is this possible?

About pagan subjugations: as pagan Poland I might get invaded anytime by Hungary, with the subjugation CB for the whole kingdom. If I turn catholic using my concubine right after the war starts, will the CB expire into a white peace?

I'd like to delay my conversion for another decade at least, my homosexual ruler has no offspring and his father was a chaste/stressed man who died at 34

If they are Christian and using a holy war CB against you then yes, that would stop them.

You can't change de jure duchy borders. The best you can do is personally hold counties in each duchy, give out all the ducal titles, then create counties and assign them to the wrong dukes so that each ends up with the same number. If you just make the counts and keep them as your vassals or hold on to the lands you'll just trade the too many duchies modifier for desires county x modifier(s).
