Is it possible, when at war, to get a county that is not in the original claim?

For instance, you want to take Scotland but have only the claim on Galloway, you press it. When you won the war, you'll only be granted Galloway, no matter how many counties you have taken. So you fabricate another claim, but that just makes for huge "break truce" penalties going war after war until you have the whole thing. Is that a way to add a claim when already at war?

No. What the CB at the start says is exactly what you get, no more and no less.

Does anybody know how you can fabricate a claim larger than a county? Etc duchy/kingdom. Is it based on random chance?
Also do the costs scale over time and max or do they get over the top? I payed about 1k for Rome. I wonder what will it cost for a kingdom (if its possible).

Under what conditions can I plot to seize a rival family's trading posts? And under what conditions can I when not currently doge declare war on other families to seize their posts?

I can't seem to either get a valid CB or have the plot show up on the intrigue screen. I must have missed something. It's not enough to just have bordering trade posts?

I got the sister of the Byzantine Emperor in my prison. Is there any way that if released I'd be able to marry her or convert her to my religion?

I also read in the wiki that if I have a close relative of a ruler in my prison, then he shall not attack me. Are you familiar with that?

You have to have not more than 2 more trade posts than they do. You aren't allowed to bully those much weaker than you as it is seen as weakening the republic as a whole to have families too weak.

I also read in the wiki that if I have a close relative of a ruler in my prison, then he shall not attack me. Are you familiar with that?

If she is underage you can change her culture/religion by educating her appropriately. If she is of age and you are pagan you can take her as a concubine then marry her. If you educate her to your culture and religion then release her there's a reasonable chance she will accept an invitation to your court, especially if you have your ruler do the educating for the mentor relation bonus.

Once I got the press all claims option. I've chose it and won the war having conquered two of the counties I had claims on. But I ended up getting only one of them. What went wrong?

An also, is there a way to favor for a county or a duchy when fabricating a claim? Like, if I leave my chancellor on a county for wich I already have a claim, will he fabricate a claim for the corresponding duchy?

1) It's possible the press all included a claim for a courtier and that claim was pressed but due to rules they didn't become your vassal...

2) The chancellor won't duplicate an existing claim so yes, it would mean you could only get a claim on the duchy. However, the chancellor still needs to be good enough (16+) to actually forge a claim on a duchy to succeed, otherwise it would just be wasted time.

I can at least say for sure you will not be attacked if you have the heir, as that would result in instant victory for you.

Actually after thinking about it(and checking), it's a hard limit the player encounters as well. If you hold any close relative of his, he cannot attack.

How much of the British Isles do you need to have conquered to have a reasonable chance of beating the United Brotherhood Of Karlings as unreformed Norse super-Sweden?

Is there a way to purposely cancel the "break truce" penalties to declare sequencial war on someone?

Also, what are the natural circunstances that would cancel that penalties?

Nope, and time passing.

If you want to go back to back you take truce breaker or send the knives in to change the holder of the target realm.

I havent played as such but I would argue it situational. At start they are pretty much elsewhere but wars and marriage can take its toll. In my game they are virtually non existant for example, due to me taking over through marriage.

Excellent! So even if his heir end up on the throne there would be no penaties? or must I assure that someone else gets the ruling?
Correct, the truce is with a character and not the title.

How much of the British Isles do you need to have conquered to have a reasonable chance of beating the United Brotherhood Of Karlings as unreformed Norse super-Sweden?
None of it if you play the intrigue-game well and split the Karlings.

I wasn't aware it was possible to make that pack of cousins hate each other enough to get them to refuse a call to arms. Pray enlighten me.

The only thing you need is for one kingdom to move away from Agnatic and the door is wide open for intrigue to let another dynasty have fun before your heathen army shows up to claim it. You can help out rebellions to put other dynasties on the throne or otherwise weaken the Karlings doing raids during rebellions, strategic killing of alliance-links, concubines for claims(This is one I love to use. I leave a few of her kids as the correct religion and culture for the title, often resulting in the vassals of that title to push for my sons claim) and so on. There are plenty of options, but most are very situational and hard for me to come up with on "standing foot".

Forgot the most obvious one - Let the worst possible character take the throne, and check the relations with his kin. Most of the time the other Karlings will just ignore him(depending on CB used).

No, it isn't, Press All Claims only works for personal claims.

There wasn't a rebellion in the target, was there? That's all I can think of at the moment...
